Emerson's American Scholar
Ralph Waldo Emerson was an unpredictable character, but he did write some very thought provoking material. His values were not always the best, but being a thinker, he did have some things to say. This book is three of his lectures compiled into a handy book. It is material that should be read by every American to instill the values that had made the United States great. Maybe if our children were raised with such material today, our country could remain a great bastion of freedom!
