Daniel 12

The Importance of Scheduling

God follows a set schedule. He has specified what must be accomplished at a certain time, and then everything is scheduled into place. Daniel 12 presents us with the schedule framework of the prophetic week to come. If God feels that a schedule of events is important, then we should do all we can to utilize one.

It seems that without goals and set times to meet the objectives of a day, nothing valuable gets done. Sometimes we schedule things and are completely unaware of it. We just happen to like doing things at a certain time every day and so life moves along in a rut.

The way to do it, is to sit down and spend a very few moments itemizing what should occur and when it should be started and finished.

Through careful planning and some discipline, almost anyone can redeem the time given to him. It is surprising to find out how much time we can waste in a day, just wondering what to do next! Then after finding how much time is lost to mundane activities, we wonder why we never noticed a real problem.
