Biblical Repentance
Humans cannot change their habits
Jeremiah 13:23 Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.
Turning to God brings Him to us
Zechariah 1:3 Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the LORD of hosts.
Repentance requires God’s mercy
Psalm 51:1 Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
John’s message was to repent
Matthew 3:2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Crying is not repenting

Admitting a sin and forsaking it is repentance
