take up the old life with a great humility in your heart for the Holy Spirit in you is always the Spirit of the Crucified. If your life is a Spirit-filled life, it will be a cross-marked life. Never get away from that. So many Christians, when they see the Cross right in front of their pathway, instead of accepting it, evade it, and refuse it. But if you are filled with the Holy Spirit, your life will be marked with the sign of the Cross. Remember, it was “through the Eternal Spirit” that the Lord Jesus offered Himself (Hebrews 9:14), and through that same Eternal Spirit the life of sacrifice, which was in Christ, will be ever more and more in you, so that in your happy, glad, yielded heart and life, Christ shall be more and more magnified, and you more and more His child satisfied in Him.
