Benjamin Franklin

Benjamin Franklin

Benjamin Franklin was born in Boston on January 17, 1706. He was the tenth son of a soap maker. His dad expected Benjamin to become a clergyman, but because of a lack of funds, Benjamin did not get the required schooling. Instead he became a printer. Learning the power of the printed page, he was able to influence many, and became involved in politics. His fancination with science made him well known for his amazing scientific endeavors. Today he is often maligned by the rewriters of American history. He died at the age of 84, on April 17, 1790.
